Katherine Liner

Known as a “musical chameleon” singer-songwriter, Katherine Liner, is influenced by a wide range of styles that have developed into a rich catalog of electronic, world, lounge, soul, pop music. Ethereal vocals, lush melodies and soul-stirring lyrics add to Katherine’s unique musical diversity. No matter the project, the end result is always fresh and intriguing. When asked about her creative choices, Katherine surprisingly keeps things very simple by saying, “I just like things that sound different.” Being the granddaughter of a concert pianist and daughter of a classical singer, Katherine’s creative genes were not to be wasted. Her parents say that she sang before she spoke and by 5 started piano lessons in her hometown of Chicago. After graduating from The Chicago Academy for the Arts, Katherine continued her training at The California Institute of the Arts in Los Angeles. After school, she was fortunate to get a first-hand taste of world music with various international performances that eventually led her back to the LA music scene where she is now considered “a rising talent…one to be watched.”

Always up for a challenge, Katherine loves to stretch her creative muscles by working with various musicians, cross-fertilizing musical genres. Some of the gifted producers that Katherine has recently collaborated with are Jez Colin (The Latin Project, Soulsonics), Carmen Rizzo (Niyaz, Lal Marie), and Chris Johnson (Evanescence).
